She suffered many heart aches and personal triumphs in her life, but because she made the choice to change she has made a positive difference for herself and society.

A Solid Brother Collaboration Session

My brother created an Instrumental for a song that I was working on, and while I didn’t know he was going to do it and while I’m usually pretty protective of my pieces, I think that I might actually use this one that he created. It’s very well crafted, and I can tell that with this new program, he had a lot of new options open to him. Our mom just picked it up for him for his birthday because he had been asking for it for some time now. I find that he gets a lot out of creating music, but in a different way than I do. I like to write a whole lot of lyrics and such, but he’s more concerned with the music, the beat and the melody on the whole. That’s why we do make a good team when we collaborate, even if it’s not that often.

How the Canon EFS 10-22 Handles Distortion

When the lens was first released, I was very curious to see how the Canon EFS 10-22 handles distortion. I decided to compare the level of distortion to a lens I am familiar with, the Nikon 12-24mm. The Canon proved to produce better results, and after looking at images taken by a Tokina or Sigma in a comparable range, I had to conclude that the Canon was the better lens when it comes to distortion. If you do a very scientific test and compare all the results, it is easy to make your own calculations and find that the Canon outperforms the Tokina 12-24, the Sigma 10-20 when you look at distortion. The bit of barrel distortion that does occur because you are dealing with a wide angle lens, after all, can easily be corrected in Photoshop. One or two minor tweaks, and you have brilliant looking, high quality images.
