The Missing Strap

Everything’s a lot more different after college because my friends and I rarely see each other due to our busy schedules. Even on weekends, we find it hard to organize a weekend getaway. And so on our very little leisure hours, we would just have dinner or have some coffee together.

A few weeks ago, my friends and I had dinner together and celebrated one of my friend’s promotion. We were still wearing our corporate attires then because we met right after our working hours. I must admit that my girl friends had more gorgeous attire and bags. One of my friends had this Abas Rose Envelope Clutch, which I really like because of the embossed crocodile leather and its intoxicating calfskin. The color is also convincing, which gave the clutch a classy look. However, the downside of the bag was that it had no strap and with its narrow width you could only fit in limited items.

I complemented my friend’s clutch, but surprisingly, she didn’t like her bag. She said it was just a gift. And when I asked her why, it turned out that she also didn’t like the absence of a strap.
